Ms. Schindler was a part of the creation and development of Apex Therapy Services. She and two other colleagues established this private practice in 2001 and it has been a thriving business since. Over the past few years, the organization has grown from four providers to seven mental health professionals and two support staff. There is a great deal of diversity in training and specialization for the mental health professionals which has been the key to success for Apex Therapy Services. Ms. Schindler earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services Counseling at Wayne State College in 1992. She later attended the University of Nebraska where she completed a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1996. She is licensed as a Mental Health Practitioner by the state of Nebraska. Ms. Schindler has experience working with long term care, Head Start, intensive family preservation, home-based therapy, patient education and resource development. This experience prepared her well for her current position in private practice. The areas of specialization for Ms. Schindler include marital and family therapy, marital preparedness, grief and loss, mood disturbances, as well as abuse and trauma issues. In addition to working with individuals and families on the above issues, she also works with the Employee Assistance Programs of several area employers.
